The Gingerbread man, named Gingy, is a talking gingerbread man character in the movies Shrek, Shrek 2 and Shrek the Third, voiced by Conrad Vernon.
The Gingerbread Man was created by the Muffin Man, alongside his giant counterpart Mongo. Gingy is small and a super-fast runner, making him unable to be caught, except for the sad incident in which he was captured by Lord Farquaad in Shrek, who broke off one of his legs and crumbled the other one up. Gingy has his legs once more in Shrek 2, mended with white stripes of frosting.
In Shrek the Third, when facing the torture of Prince Charming and Captain Hook, Gingy's whole life flashes before him: As soon as the Muffin Man pressed his gumdrop buttons into place, he was brought to the world. Young Gingy went to the Cookie Academy, where he excelled at Home Economics and graduated. He also got married to a "gingerbread girl", but alas, the marriage didn't last. The flashbacks also reveal that Gingy took months of painful exercise and rehabilitation to make his new legs strong.
